SLIDE SCANNING

Digitize all of your family slides for as low as $0.43 per slide!

Enjoying slides from generations past becomes more challenging as the years pass, only being viewed when someone decides to haul out the old projector. Now you can digitize your slides so they can be shared and enjoyed whenever and wherever you want. 

Our popular Slide Scanning service is the most economical way to convert 35mm slides to digital files, designed especially for scanning large amounts of slides at one time. And because we offer quantity discounts - the more you scan, the more you’ll save.

Files will be delivered as JPEGs via USB and sized 10x15 inches @ 300dpi, ideal for most printing projects! Make copies on Lustre or William Turner/Smooth Matte Fine Art papers, create a personalized Photo Book or Gifting product, or even frame some of your favourites with our Framed Lustre Prints service.

  • How does it work?

    Bring us your slides! In carousels, in boxes, envelopes or bags - it doesn't matter and we have seen it all. 


    Slides are scanned in random order. The work is done on-site in Dartmouth but your slides can be dropped off at either location. We'll contact you when the job is complete!


    PLEASE NOTE:

    We can scan your slides in a particular order, however because this takes more time, a fee of $25+hst applies (depending on level of difficulty this fee may increase). The slides must be organized and labelled clearly.

  • How are the files delivered?

    You will receive your digital files as .JPEG images on a USB. 


    The files are sized 10x15 @ 300 dpi.

  • Are there limitations?

    Minimum Order is 10 slides.

    We offer other types of scanning with higher quality outcomes if you have fewer than 10.


    These bulk slide scans do not include cleaning. We highly recommend a gentle buffing and/or dusting before submitting your slides to be scanned.


    ‍These prices are for 35mm slides only. All other formats will be scanned using our regular Copy & Scanning Service, for which a different pricing structure is applied. 


    It is possible to scan 126mm slides, but...because they're square, your scans will have black edges.


    For this bulk service we cannot scan:

    Slides in glass mounts, slides that are bent or slides that have surface residue.

SHOEBOX SCANNING

Have all of your family photographs digitized at once, for as low as $0.40 per picture!


Bulk photo scanning - Shoebox Scanning - is a cost-effective service designed for digitizing large amounts of photos at one time. We offer quantity discounts and do all of our scanning in-house so you can trust that your precious memories are being handled locally with the utmost, personalized care.


For as low as $0.40 per image, we can scan both colour and black and white prints sized from wallets (no smaller than 2.5x3.5 inches) up to 8x12. Digital files are scanned as 300 dpi JPEGs at their original size and delivered via USB.

  • How does it work?

    Fill up a shoebox (or Tupperware container, cardboard box, a suitcase...) with as many photos as you want! Sort your photographs face-up and by grouping the same sizes together. Photos are scanned randomly in small batches according to shape and size.


    Our Shoebox Scanning service is carried out in Dartmouth, but you may bring in your photos to either of our locations! We'll contact you when the job is complete.‍


    PLEASE NOTE:

    Photos are scanned in random order. If you would like us to scan your photos in a particular order, photos must be organized clearly and a minimum of $25+hst would apply as a set-up fee (we will quote on a case-by-case basis depending on level of difficulty).
