Turnaround time: 2-3 Weeks

  • How does it work?

Drop off your item (to either location): Our staff will provide you with a quote, taking into consideration the level of damage and work required. We then make a high-resolution scan from your original, completing the restoration digitally. You can then have prints made, and the digital file if you choose.  Minimum cost is $126.49 for up to an 8x10 with moderate restoration work required.

Please Note: We cannot accept images for quotes through email.

What if you only have a digital copy? You can upload your file through our online printing site.

We will contact you if the file requires more extensive work.

Restore Sepia and Clean up Dust & Scratches

Many old prints just need some colour & density adjustments, dust cleaning and scratch repairs.

Restoration and ColoUrization of

Black & White

A simple background and subject are more straightforward to work with - multiple people, patterned clothing and complicated backgrounds require more extensive work.

Restoring Colour

Sometimes we can bring back and improve colour; but in this case we had to colourize the whole image.

Improving Density and Contrast

Density and contrast adjustments can bring back detail but can also make scratches, dirt and staining more noticeable.

Restoring Faces and Features

These can require more extensive digital work to retain features, especially if there are parts missing or severely damaged areas.

Restoring Cracks and Tears

Restoration of torn and cracked photos, surface scratches and missing areas are more complicated when they involve faces and hands.

HOW WE DO IT...

Whenever possible, your original (photos 16x20 and under, flat/untextured) is scanned on our high resolution professional scanner which captures every detail. We take special care in handling your precious photos and documents…they are kept safely in-house and all work is done on the digital file, leaving your original intact.

For originals that cannot be scanned
(prints larger than 16x20, textured/glossy surfaces, or photos that are mounted but have warped over time) we have to make a Camera Copy to get a digital file to work from.

Desired print size and surface is determined before work begins and you will receive the restored file on a USB. Once work is complete, we print your photo on your choice of our
standard lustrefine art or canvas. We also offer Custom Framing to perfectly compliment and protect your restored heirloom.

HOW MUCH WILL IT COST?

Quotes are determined for free on a per-job basis. Our staff must inspect your original in-person before providing you with an estimate; all quotes are based on the time required to complete the requested work.

For originals smaller than 16x20, there is a
$20 set-up fee required to produce a digital file to work from. Larger originals will require a Camera Copy to be made.
